Amöben … Monads _ Structures of Life ………… _ Sculpted in Marble in Pietrasanta

Einzeller sind der spannende Einstieg in Leben.
Und diese hier haben sich verbildlicht in Marmor, in schon bearbeitetes Gestein der Marmorbetriebe rund um Pietrasanta, das dann vom Wasser des Flusses Seravezza oberflächlich weiter geformt und patiniert wurde.

Monads are the fascinating first steps into life.
And those here are seen in marble, sculpted in the already worked stone from the marble studios around Pietrasanta, which was then shaped and patinated by the waters of the river Seravezza.

Sirenes Welt _ In a Medusa’s Garden in the Shade __ The Secret Lives of Seahorses

Medusen heißen diese wunderschönen Wasserwesen, von denen ungefähr 3000 verschiedene Arten in den Meeren schweben. Fossilienfunde belegen, daß diese Lebensform schon vor 550Millionen Jahren die Gewässer bevölkerte und sich offensichtlich durchaus als Sein bewährt hat. Diese Nesseltierchen bestehen durch den sogenannten Generationenwechsel, das heißt, daß sie entweder als Meduse oder als Polyp ihr Leben führen, wechselweise.

Medusa or jellyfish is the name of these gorgeous marine beings, of whom about 3000 different species are floating in the seas. Fossil finds prove, that this lifeform was populating the waters already 550 million years ago and so obviously adapted as beings. These species exist by a so called “change of generations,” which is, that they either live as a medusa or as a polyp, alternately.

Sind diese Seepferdchen Ausdrucksformen reiner Lebensfreude der Natur an Gestaltung, wie es erscheint, oder strikte Strategien des Überlebens? Und wie lange mag das gedauert haben, von der Urzelle bis zu dieser Kaprize?
Wie unvorstellbar dies alles!

Are these seahorses expressions of nature’s pure “Lebensfreude” – joy of life – in creating, which is how it seems, or are they strict survival strategies? And how much time might it have taken, from the primordial cell until this caprice?
How unimaginable this all is!

Und Platz sollte für alle da sein

auf der Erde, in der Luft, im Wasser, in den Herzen …
Hoffnung, sich zu sehen, zu verstehen …
und zu fliegen mit dieser Hoffnung …

There should be space for everybody in this beautiful country,
on the earth, in the air, in the water, in the hearts …
To hope that we can be aware of one another to understand …
and to fly with this hope …

Jahr für Jahr den Vogelzug der Migranten-Vögel zu beobachten, weckt das Gefühl der Hoffnung und sogar die Gewissheit der Wiederkehr.

Watching the passage of the migrant birds, year after year, arouses in one the feeling of hope and even a sureness of a return.

und schwirr in dessen Wirklichkeit
in sonnenfunkelnd Wasserwelt,

in doch so wenig Daseinszeit,
in der ich tanz so federleicht,

An der kalifornischen Küste sieht man die uns in Europa bekannten Vogelarten (z.B. Kormorane) …
At the California coast one can see many of the bird species known in Europe (as the Great Cormorants) …

aber auch für den nordeuropäischem Raum ganz andere Spezies, wie Pelikane …

but also many species that are not found in North European habitats, like Pelicans …

Und im Garten meiner Freunde in “Thousand Oaks” brütet ein Kolibri !!! (Und die sind mittlerweile schon lebende Wesen mit Federn geworden!!!)

And a hummingbird breeds my friends’ garden in “Thousand Oaks.” (And those eggs, meanwhile, have became living beings with feathers!)

Überall ist Wunderland! – (Ringelnatz)

Am Himmel von Ojai kreisen dann neben dem seltenen Weißkopfseeadler riesige kalifornische Kondore und Truthahngeier.

In the sky of Ojai California, circle giant California Condors and Turkey Vultures next to the rare American Bald Eagles.

Und mit den vielen Migrantenvögeln gibt der staunende Zaungast der atemberaubenden Natur von Kalifornien das Versprechen der Wiederkehr.

And like the many migrant birds, this awe-struck onlooker promises to return to the breathtaking nature of California, and all rejoice!!!

And surprise lurks in the bays, like here in the colony of Elephant Seals, which are the biggest species of seals world wide.
