Und immer wieder beschäftigt die Menschheit die faszinierende Frage nach dem Ursprung des Universums, und wie aus dieser Gestaltlosigkeit und Chaos Ordnung entstand und immer wieder entsteht; wie sich Materie im Kosmos als Sonnen mit Planeten zu Galaxien und Galaxienhaufen ordnen.Wo verortet sich Welt und welchen Regeln folgt sie?
Die heutige Astrophysik überrascht dazu immer wieder mit neuen Entdeckungen und Denkmodellen.
Fasziniert von diesem Forschungsgebiet entstand die Arbeit “Universo” aus grauem Bardiglio-Marmor aus der Nähe von Carrara, und eine von vielen Himmelskugeln “Wie im Himmel”, in diesem Falle Marquinia Marmor, gefertigt in einem Handwerksbetrieb in der Nähe von Pietrasanta.

Heraclitus postulated more than two and half thousand years ago a hidden harmony in the universe, a dynamic interplay of attractive forces and repulsive forces.
Ptolemy and Copernicus and Tycho Brahe envisioned an astronomical system of the cosmos.
And still mankind is preoccupied with the fascinating question about the birth of the universe, and how out of that shapelessness and chaos came an order which is still unfolding, and how cosmic matter, like suns and planets, arranges itself into galaxies and galaxy clusters. Where does the world take place and which rules does it follow?
Astrophysics of today revisits this again and again, with surprising new discoveries and theories.
The fascination with this research area was the source of the art work “Universo,” made of grey Bardiglio Marble from nearby Carrara,
… and one of the many heaven spheres “As in Heaven,” in this case made of Marquinia Marble, worked in a workshop, near Pietrasanta.
